
C. ADÁN CABRERA is a Salvadoran-American writer, teacher, translator and editor based in Barcelona, Spain. Among other publication credits, Carlos’s writing has appeared in Switchback, The Acentos Review, From Macho to Mariposa: New Gay Latino Fiction, BorderSenses, parentheses, and Kweli. His writing explores the complex intersections of race, class and sexuality.
A 2011 Lambda Literary Fellow, winner of the 2021 Rigel Literary Prize and 2nd place winner of the 2020 Raymond Carver Short Story Contest, Carlos holds an MFA from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor’s degree in English from UCLA. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Carlos is hard at work on a second collection of short stories.
