My partner wrote a song as part of his musical project, Rap en Cuarentena, to express his outrage at the senseless killing of George Floyd. Like many people all over Spain, he is aghast at the senseless police brutality in the U.S. and its long-standing institutional racism. We’ve had many conversations where I did my best to explain why things are the way they are. He wanted to contribute to the Black Lives Matter movement and decided to write a song to express his indignation.

His songs are in Spanish, but I helped him translate the lyrics for this one so that you can all listen to it as well. I hope you all enjoy it and please feel free to share widely.
